The Fisker Karma was a daring attempt to enter the developing virgin market of eco-conscious electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles by Henrik Fisker. Henrik Fisker is a famed automotive designer responsible for gorgeous vehicles such as the BMW Z8 and the Aston Martin DB9. Fisker was named one of the 10 greatest designers in automotive history and it is very easy to see his signature design elements in the Karma. The Karma features a very unique powertrain using 2 electric motors to power the rear axle and a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine as a range extending generator to recharge the battery. The gasoline powered engine has no mechanical connection to the wheels. A fully vegan and eco-friendly interior is used in the Karma to further extend the environmental focus.
