Spanish firm Santana built Land Rovers under license in Spain for many years, and they were sold throughout Central and South America with great success. Originally conceived in 1948 as a light military vehicle patterned after the Willys Jeep, by 1968, the 2.25 liter inline 6 made a “Landy” one of the most durable and capable 4 x 4’s in the world.

Flawlessly presented in freshly-applied British Racing Green, this fine Series IIA Rover received a comprehensive body-off-chassis restoration just last year, and is presented today with only 175 miles since completion. It’s a fully matching numbers example with power brakes, fresh rubber, and a new soft top, and stands today as one of the nicest we’ve ever seen. Learn for yourself why a well prepared Land Rover such as this example is still considered the epitome of off-road performance a full 50 years after it was built.
